Lady Rovers 2: 0 Slackers: 3
Far far away in Brooklyn, Rovers 2 encountered for its part a rejuvenated and dramatically reinforced Slackers team in a gruelingly intense and physical game. The Slackers got the best of the first half, scoring two goals after impressive one touch movement and efficient build up of the play. Rovers 2 came back in second half and managed to dominate the next 35 minutes, camping in the Slackers half of the field. Three strong opportunities were created but we could not capitalize on any of them and, as things go, the Slackers managed to strike once more on a counter five minutes from the end. The final score of 3-0 is much heavier than we would have liked but we did walk off the field with our heads high.
