Rovers ladies start Spring season with a spring in their step by Nicolas

Rover Ladies 1: 3 CPR Ladies White: 1

After a very very long winter break our ladies were finally returning to the field on Sunday in perfect soccer weather.

Rovers 1 took the field against CPR White at 9 am, welcoming back in its ranks Mary L, KG, Courtney and Lorena, all coming back from injury. With a good 70% of Rovers 1 players having attended practice last Tuesday (a historical record), we knew they were in it to win it. As to be expected with any first game of a new season, automatism took a little while to resurface and touches weren't always as clean as they could have been but the level was sufficient to ensure overall dominance of the game and good ball circulation. In the end, 3 goals by KG, Jen, and Liz ensured a well deserved 3-1 win, making it 24 out of 27 points on the whole season so far and a 4 points lead with 5 games to go… 5 games to go. 5 games to go…
